For incoming new students for the following school year, PRIDE volunteers offer the opportunity to tour the campus, ask questions and meet Revere's administrative team. Student Council members greet prospective parents and students at the front entrance of the school near the circular driveway and main office. Once you receive a visitors pass they will escort you to Town Hall for the presentations. No reservations are required. Note: parking is limited on campus so you may have to park in the neighborhood.

Lisa Taub

Lisa Taub, LCSW

Experience

Lisa Taub, LCSW has worked with children and their families in a variety of settings for more than 20 years.  She began her career as a preschool teacher and earned her BA in Child Development.  She soon moved into the positions of parent educator and child development specialist.  After graduating with her MSW from Boston University, Lisa worked in Venice, CA with the federal research and demonstration funding that would become Early Head Start.  Later in her career she again worked on a national initiative in support of Early Head Start as a mental health consultant.  As a child development and mental health specialist, Lisa has designed and implemented supportive services for children with developmental delays including Autistic Spectrum Disorders.  Lisa is familiar with developmental and educational support services available to children and served as a psychotherapist for over four years at a non public school in Los Angeles.  A constant thread over the many years of her career has been her work supporting children with special needs and their families, as they work to understand, access and advocate for the educational and supportive services they need. 

Schedule of Services for Special Needs Students

Basic School Planning Consultation, Kindergarten – 12th grade

This service includes:

  • In-home intake meeting with family, including review of L.A. School Scout’s Inquiry Questionnaire, overview of the process and developing a timeline.
  • Review of all assessments, evaluations, IEPs, test scores and school records.
  • Classroom observation and consultation with teachers and support staff.
  • Consultation with all service providers and evaluators.
  • Needs assessment and school list.
  • Final meeting with family to discuss the list of recommended schools and recommendations for next steps.

We will work with your child’s teachers and therapists to identify appropriate schools for your child. Our goal is to take the stress out of managing your child's special needs, and evaluate best-fit schools while navigating the complex special education system.

 

Comprehensive School Planning Consultation, Kindergarten – 12th grade

The Comprehensive Consultation was designed to provide families with on-going support and guidance throughout the school year. We will advocate for your child with Regional Center, schools and school districts. Services included are:

  • Intake meeting with family, including review of L.A. School Scout’s Inquiry Questionnaire, overview of the process and developing a timeline.
  • Review of all assessments, evaluations, IEPs, test scores and school records.
  • A preschool observation, including a Kindergarten readiness assessment, if required.
  • Classroom observation and consultation with teachers and support staff.
  • Consultation and coordination with all service providers and evaluators.
  • Attendance at all IEP, school, school district, Regional Center and other service provider planning meetings, together with parents.
  • Needs assessment and school list
  • Meeting(s) with family to provide a list of best-fit schools and recommendations for next steps.
  • On-going support during the school year.

We will work with your child’s teachers and therapists to identify appropriate services and we will work with you to be sure they are delivered. Our goal is to take the stress out of managing your child's special needs, and evaluate best-fit schools while navigating the complex special education system.
